Asst. Prof. Dr. Essam H. A. Hanashalshahaby is a member in the staff at Chemistry Department, Faculty of Education, Sana’a University. He got his MSc in Organic Chemistry Chemistry (Studies on Some Ketonic Mannich Bases and Related Compounds) at Faculty of Science, Mansoura University, Egypt. He completed his Ph.D in the field of Synthetic Organic Chemistry (Synthesis of Biologically Active Heterocyclic Compounds Using Ketonic Mannich Bases) at Faculty of Science, Hacettepe University. He worked as a postdoctoral researcher (Bioactive Secondary Metabolites from Marine-Derived Fungi) at Pharmacognosy Department, Faculty of Pharmacy, Ankara University. Recently, he has been working as a postdoctoral researcher on TÜBİTAK 1002 and COST Project (Heterobivalent Ligands Suitable for Use in the Treatment of Parkinson’s Disease). Now he is working on TÜBİTAK COVID-19 Project with Atabay Pharmaceuticals and Fine Chemicals Inc. (Local Synthesis of Favipiravir (Favicovir)).
